Ecuador 9: The Numbers

My visit to Ecuador by the Numbers

15- Number of kids I will personally adopt and bring to the United States when I strike it rich someday.
12- Number of chicks born to hens at the Piuri household.
9- Number of empanadas eaten by yours truly.
8- Number of freezing cold showers I had to take while in Yamana.
3- Number of times the kids tried to get me to watch "The Gods Must Be Crazy 3." (Like I said, they love weird American pop culture there).
2- Number of pets named after me. (1 pitbull, 1 parakeet)
1- Number of volcanoes that erupted during my visit. (Tungurahua)

Ecuador is a truly amazing place, and I probably have not done it justice through these postings. If you ever have the chance, go to this beautiful country. If you want to help support the community of Yamana, I will be sending a few boxes of used american clothes down to the village around Christmas time. If you are someone I will be seeing before then, SAVE YOUR GIVEAWAY CLOTHES and I will include them in the boxes. Sending nice american clothes is the best thing that i have personally figured out we can do for the people of Yamana, being so far away and everything.
