I'm singin' in the rain...

It's raining! Oh my god how I miss the Oregon rain. For me, there is nothing like waking up to pouring rain. The last 24 hours have been weird- I had to fail three kids for talking during a test, I had nasty pizza from my favorite restaurant, but two of the 4th graders from last year live just around the corner! I love seeing former students...and this is my second spotting in my neighborhood. Maggie and Robert don't get any homework, so they want to come get some from me. We have a date at 7 pm...I really miss our babies from last year, but I'm super excited that they are nearby. I might buy a bike today. Did I mention that Nicole, me and the other new teachers were given red roses on the Katrina anniversary and recognized as displaced teachers in front of the whole school? Very touching... I really love my school. Things are pretty good...
